Edna Louise Hann Hooper, age 81, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016, at her residence. Born in Easley, SC, on September 23, 1934, she was the daughter of the late William "Bill' Whitner Hann and the late Lillie Mae Nix Hann. Edna was a 1952 honor graduate of Girl's High. She was a data processor with La France Industries and retired from True Temper Corporation after 29 years of service. She was a member of Garner Memorial Baptist Church and Homeland Park Baptist Church. Edna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and being with her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Alfred Hooper, Sr.; a son, Al Hooper, Jr.; a daughter, Debbie Allen and her husband Dick; a sister, Zelda Hann; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. The Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016, at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family would like to especially thank Lynn Hooper for her gracious and kind care during Edna's illness, as well as all of the nurses and doctors who cared for her.
