McALISTERAPRIL 12, 1927 - March 20, 2010TOWNVILLE, SC ' Edna Samantha Culbertson McAlister, age 82, of 102 Singleton Drive and wife of the late Marvin Eugene McAlister, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at the Rainey Hospice House.Born in Athens, GA, on April 12, 1927, she was a daughter of the late I.N. Culbertson and Cornelia Jane Payton Culbertson. She was a homemaker and member of Oakdale Baptist Church.Survivors include her children: Diane McGee of Townville, SC, Leonard Osborne of Townville, SC, and Patricia Hollingsworth of Fair Play, SC; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.The family will receive friends at Oakdale Baptist Church from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm on Monday, March 22, 2010. The Funeral Service will follow at 7:30 pm and will be conducted by the Reverend David Blizzard and the Reverend David Walters.The family is at the home of Diane McGee, 205 Sandy Shores Drive, Townville.In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorials be made to Hospice of The Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
