Edna L. Manning Moricz, 81, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at AnMed Health Medical Center. She was married to Raymond John "Jack" Moricz for 46 years until his death in March 2023. Edna was born in Coffeeville, Mississippi and spent her life taking care of family. Her family always came first. Devoted, caring and loving, she was the perfect wife and mother. Her home was a safe place for her family to grow, play, live and eat because of her great cooking. She was an avid reader of suspensful novels, antiquing, a supporter and cheerleader for her husband while she watched him bowl, and had a special bond with her daughter, Stacey. Edna was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple. She is survived by her sons, Ron Gerrish of Anderson, SC and John Allen of Andover, CT; stepdaughters, Kellie Bittner and Bonnie Moricz of Springfield, MO; one brother; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by children, Edward Gerrish, Raymond John "Jake" Moricz, Jr., and Stacey Lynn Moricz. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 2 pm Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating.
