SANDERSDecember 3, 1923 - March 26, 2011Anderson, SC ' Edna O'Barr Sanders, age 87, of 3847 Hwy 24, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011 at her home.Born in Hart County, Georgia to the late Parnell and Delrey Estes O'Barr, Mrs. Sanders was a homemaker, and a member of First Baptist Church and the Blanch Holcomb Sunday School class for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Golden Agers at her church and a member of the A Squares Square Dancing Club.Survivors include a son, Michael W. Sanders and his wife Lucy of Anderson; a daughter, Daphne Singleton and her husband Edward of Anderson; four grandchildren, Stacy Sanders, Martin Sanders, Penny Argo and Kim Perkins; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Robbie Roberts of Marietta, GA, and Bobbie Martin of Powder Springs, GA.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Thomas 'Buddy' Sanders; two brothers, Alvin O'Barr and Louie O'Barr and one sister, Inez Boleman..The Funeral Service will be held at on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Dr. James R. Thomason and Rev. Joe Argo. Entombment will follow in the Forest Lawn Mausoleum.The family is at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
