Edna Nell Maroney Sears, age 74, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born May 11, 1948, in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Grant Maroney and Ruby Nell King Maroney. Edna was a member of Freedom Center Church. She loved flowers, reading her Bible, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Roger Lee Sears; son, Nick Parker (Erika) of Anderson; daughters, Eve Whitaker, Lauri Hammond, and Carrie Evans (Bryan) all of Anderson; sister, Nancy Maroney of Townville; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Greg Bramlett; granddaughter, Bryanna Evans; and brothers, Johnny Maroney and Henry "Penny" Maroney. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Freedom Center Church South Campus, 3235 D.L. Dr., Anderson, SC. The funeral service will be held Friday, September 23, 2022, at 11:00 am at Freedom Center Church South Campus with Rev. Phil Sears and Dr. David Blizzard officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freedom Center, 213 E. Roosevelt Dr., Anderson, SC 29624 and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family will be at their respective homes.
