Edna Earlene Honea Speers, age 87, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at AnMed Medical Center.

Born November 21, 1938, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Thomas Honea and Lois Hanks Honea. She was married to Mack Edward Speers, Sr. until his death in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Dunn.

Edna was a graduate of T.H. Hanna High School and attended Forrest College. She was a member of the former West Whitner Baptist Church and then C3 Church. She taught Sunday School and VBS. She enjoyed her flower garden, beach trips, yard sales, going to church and spending time with her sister Joyce.

She is survived by her children, Sherry Dooley (Freddy) of Anderson, SC, Susan Sigmon of Hudson, NC, and Mack Speers, Jr. of Seneca, SC; grandchildren, Kevin Dooley (Stephanie) of San Diego, CA, Corey Dooley (Ashley) of Hartwell, GA, Candace Price (Greg) of Granite Falls, NC, Renee Bingham (Chris) of Port Orange, FL, Nicole Brey (Donald) of Hastings, FL, and Eddie Mack of Seneca, SC; and 14 great grandchildren; and special friend, Beth Moon of Anderson, SC.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry Durham officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes.
