CallahamJune 1, 1916'February 9, 2010 Anderson, SC- Mr. Edward John Callaham, age 93, husband of the late Gladys Driver Callaham, of 403 Abercrombie Road, died Wednesday, February 9, 2010 at his residence. Born in Earle's Grove, SC, he was a son of the late Eugene Pickens Callaham and Hattie Lindsey Callaham. He was the retired manager of Hammond-Brown-Jennings Furniture Company and was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. Survivors include his son, Ed Callaham and his wife Katie of Anderson; daughter, Diana Powell and her husband Bill of Spring, TX; six grandchildren, Bryan Powell and his wife Denise, Brad Powell, Tamara Goodwin and her husband Barry, Kristi Frederick, Michael Callaham and his wife Megan and Jennifer Callaham; four great-grandchildren, Alexander Powell, Taylor and Hunter Goodwin and Lexi Frederick; sister, Mary Ann Thornton of Crawford, GA. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by brothers, Roy, Wilson and Lewis Callaham; sisters, Lucille Griffin and Viola Davis. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 2:30pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Mike Davis. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of the son, 2214 Surfside Drive, Anderson and will receive friends prior to the service from 1pm-2:15pm at the funeral home. Flowers are optional.
