Edward Thomas Coe, age 67, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC on April 13, 1949, he was the son of the late Henry David Coe and the late Lillian Beatrice Gray Coe. He was self-employed as a mechanic. He also worked for Coe's Roofing and was a tree man. Tom was of the Baptist faith and was loved by his family and many friends. He is survived by his two daughters, Anita Hayes and Debra Weatherly; two brothers, Sam and David Coe; a sister, Brenda Farmer; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Edward Brantley Coe; and his siblings, Isaiah Coe, Dorothy Alexander, Juanita McCabe, Gerald Coe, and JD Coe. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Wendell Rhodes officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
