Edward Michael Kohlmayer, age 55, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Elizabeth, NJ on May 27, 1961, he was the son of Ann Reyda Kohlmayer and the late Edward Kohlmayer. He received his BS degree from Clemson University in 1984. During his time at Clemson, Ed was in the Tiger Band. He worked at several different companies but he was most happy at HTI Manufacturing Solutions at Bosch at the time of his death. Ed loved Nascar, music, sports, hunting, and fishing. He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Anna Katherine Kohlmayer; his sister, Kathie Kohlmayer; his dear friend, Anna Welborn Kohlmayer; a step-son, Brian Carpenter, of Greer, SC; aunts, Helen Skripchuk, of Delaware and Jean Kohlmayer, of Anderson, SC; uncle, Donald Kohlmayer, of Anderson, SC; cousins, Jim Skripchuk, of Delaware, AnneMarie McBride, of Florida, Eva Skripchuk, of Delaware, and Kenneth and Keith Kohlmayer of Anderson, SC. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church with Father Philip Gillespie officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, December 11, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer vigil beginning at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School, 1200 Cornelia Drive, Anderson, SC 29621.
