HAROLD PRICE Edward Harold Price, age 93, of 2120 Providence Church Road, went to be with the Lord upon his death at Rainey Hospice House on April 12, 2015. Born on May 8, 1921, in Anderson, he was the son of the late Frank Edmond Price and the late Ethel Capell Price. For 74 years, he was the loving and devoted husband of Ruth Price of the home. Mr. Price was in the US Army during WW II, where he served in France and Germany, and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He later worked with Appleton Mill as a loom fixer, a position from which he retired following 43 years of employment. Harold loved to fish and to take care of his lawn and garden. He was a member of Andersonville Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. In addition to his wife, Ruth, Mr. Price is survived by a son, Edward Price and his wife, Darlene, of Anderson; three daughters, Jennie Ruth Brock and her husband, James "Wimp", of Honea Path, Deborah Jennings and her husband, Nnde, of Liberty, and Brenda Hughes and her husband, Jack, of Anderson; also surviving are ten grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great grandchildren. Mr. Price was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Ralph Price, and two sisters, Beatrice Phillips and Frances Judy. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Harold Price will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Bruce Evans officiating. Interment will follow at M. J. "Dolly" Cooper Veteran's Cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, from 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Price to the Andersonville Baptist Church Building Fund, 6902 Dobbins Bridge Road, Anderson, SC 29626.
