Elaine Mauldin Busby, 70, of Anderson, SC, passed away, Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Rainey Hospice House. She was born February 26, 1950, in Williamston, SC, and was the daughter of the late V. Elmer Mauldin and Lillie Frances Pace Mauldin. She was married to William Isaac Busby until his death in 2013. Elaine formerly worked in textiles; however, she spent most of her time being a wife and mother, raising her four boys. She believed in helping others and had previously volunteered her time with the Salvation Army. She is survived by her children, Paul Glenn Busby, James Allen Busby, Mark Nicholas Busby and Christopher William Busby; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Robert and Wayne "Buddy" Mauldin; and sisters, Mildred Justice, Virginia Free, Lucille Lance, Martha Greer, Frances McCoy, Ruby Garrett, Betty Lou Hembree and Jean West. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 10, 2021, from 4:00-7:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 3:00 pm at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
