Ann Elaine Gilmore, age 81, of Anderson, SC, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at her home.

Born October 27, 1942, in Asheville, NC, she was a daughter of the late Robert E. Gilmore and Anne Gober Gilmore. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Gilmore.

Elaine was a graduate of Winthrop College and was a special education teacher in Brandon, FL, for over 30 years before retiring. Following her retirement, she moved to Anderson to be near her family. She was an active member of Midway Presbyterian Church as long as her health permitted. She served as a Deacon and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Elaine enjoyed attending the Special Olympics with her sister, Kathy.

She is survived by her sisters, Carol Wentzky (Sam), Linda Stancil (Larry), and Kathy Gilmore; brother, Wayne Gilmore (Mami); and many nieces and nephews.

No services will be held at this time.
