Celeste Elaine Gentry Hubbard, age 79, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Ellenburg Nursing Center. Born in Iva, SC on October 24, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Samuel C. Gentry and the late Rosella Rice Gentry. Elaine worked on the production line at Singer (Ryobi), and retired after 25 years of service. She was a member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church, and also a long time member of First Baptist Church of Anderson. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Tucker (Charles) of Anderson, SC; a granddaughter, Amanda Yeargin (Kevin) of Anderson, SC; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Alanna McCreary of Anderson, SC; a niece, Melanie Gunnels (Steve); and two nephews; Ronnie (Ronda) and Randy Wall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hubbard who passed away in 2003; four sisters; and one brother. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at 3:30 p.m. with the Reverends Josh Hunt and Brent Lollis officiating. Interment will follow at Iva City Cemetery.
