Elaine Styles Junkins, age 64, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born July 21, 1960, in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late J.T. Styles and Sara Godfrey Styles. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Harriet C. Williams; paternal grandparents, Thomas C. Styles and Mary Grace Styles; maternal grandparents, J.R. "Bob" Godfrey and Gladys Godfrey; and niece, Sara Elaine Williams.

Elaine worked tirelessly and selflessly serving the veterans at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home from its opening until her retirement where she was a Senior Pharmacy Tech. For over 30 years she worked for Dr. Kenneth Heller who affectionately called her "SLED" due to her excellent sleuthing skills and ability to find out anything! Elaine was a humble and kind lady who had the best sense of humor and was an avid animal lover of all of God's creatures. She was of the Baptist faith.

Those surviving include her family, Suzanne McMahan, Stanley Junkins, Justin Junkins, and her fur babies Ringo and Sophie.

Suzanne would like to thank Elaine's special friends, Laurie Williams, Lenora Brooks, Sunny Wells, and Ian Pickens who were with her every step of the way.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Chaplain Sara Crocker officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
