Standridge Road, Anderson, SC, died Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC. Born in Greenwood, SC on January 15, 1924, Mr. Corley was the son of the late Furman Elbert Corley and Minnie Morrow Corley. He was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas with 37 years of service. He was a United States Navy World War II veteran serving in the South Pacific. He was a life member of the Masonic Ruff Lodge #240, a Hejaz Shriner and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.He is survived by his wife, Katheryn Brown Corley of the home; a daughter, Cheryl Corley Pierce of Anderson, SC; a sister, Cornelia Pearce of Gold Hill, NC and two grandchildren, Bradley Pierce and Katheryn Pierce.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jeff Corley, John Herbert Corley and twin brother, Earl Corley.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 26, 2005 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Jack Ray. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Military Honors and Masonic Rites by Ruff Lodge # 240. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 26, 2005 from 1:00 pm to3:00 pm.The family will be at the home of his daughter, Cheryl Pierce, 402 Cumberland Way, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
