GAILEYJULY 28, 1924 - DeceMBER 26, 2011IVA, SC ' Eleanor Cochran Gailey, age 87, of Iva, died Monday, December 26, 2011, at her home.Born in Anderson County, she was the widow of the late Cullen Duane Gailey and was the daughter of the late L. Mac and Mary Parker Cochran. She was a graduate of Anderson Girl's High School and Winthrop College and taught for forty years in Port Arthur, TX, Honea Path, SC, and Iva, SC. She was a longtime member of Good Hope Presbyterian Church where she served as a nursery teacher, youth club teacher, and church historian. Surviving are a son, Phillip D. Gailey, of Taylors, SC; a daughter, Alice G. Wolfe, of Anderson, SC; a grandson, Jason Davis & wife, Crystal Davis, of Iva, SC; one brother, William Cochran of Seneca, SC; and four great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers: Louis Cochran and Raymond Cochran; and one sister, Helen C. Keaton.Services conducted by the Reverend Annette Graham were held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
