Elise Ada Griffin Duncan, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC on August 27, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Daisy Bridges Griffin. She was a weaver at Kendall Textiles in Pelzer for many years. Elise took care of children with love and compassion. She loved flowers, working in her yard, and she enjoyed traveling. She was a member of Whitefield Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Ricky Duncan (Bill); four daughters, Diane Rogers (Larry), Debbie Grant, Pam Garner (Bruce), and Jennifer Pitts (Jason); seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Donna Duncan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey "H.B." Duncan; a son, Randy Ray Duncan; a brother, James Griffin; and a sister, Sara Burgess. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Ron Fousek officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at the residence of her daughter, Diane Rogers, 5725 Midway Road, Williamston, SC 29627 and will receive friends on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home.
