Elizabeth Robbins Alexander, 96, formerly of Pendleton, SC, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at North Pointe. Born March 28, 1923 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Keown Robbins and Maude Merritt Robbins. She was married to Furman Alexander until his passing in 1996. She was also predeceased by her brother, Billy Robbins.
Elizabeth was a 1939 graduate of Lebanon High School and a 1943 graduate of Winthrop College where she received her degree in education. She was a retired school teacher and was the oldest member of Lebanon Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Hiott (David) of Anderson, SC and Linda Brown of Pendleton, SC (Michael Saylors of Williamston, SC); grandchildren, Jason Bryant (Michelle) and Leanne McBride (Chad); and great-grandchildren, Whitney, Dylan, Ryleigh, Matti, Emily and Gracie James.
The family wishes to express its gratitude to the staffs of North Pointe and Kindred Hospice for the love and support given to Mrs. Alexander while she was in their care.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 11:00 am at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Barry Robinson officiating. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
