GERTRUDE ENGLISH July 1, 1912 - August 13, 2007ANDERSON, SCMrs. Elizabeth Gertrude Harrison English, age 95, of Anderson, SC, wife of the late John B. English, died Monday, August 13, 2007 at the Hospice House in Anderson, SC.Born in Jackson County, GA on July 1, 1912, Mrs. English was a daughter of the late Frank Harrison and Ruth Oliver Harrison. She was retired from textiles and was a homemaker. She was a member of the former Covenant Baptist Church on South McDuffie Street in Anderson.Survivors include sons, Randolph English of Anderson, SC and Frankie English of Pendleton, SC; daughters, Carolyn Lane of Jacksonville, FL and Gail Temples of Anderson, SC; sister, Judy Garris of Savannah, GA; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Wilkie, Henry, Harbor and Harvey Lee Harrison and two sisters, Gladys Harrison and Thelma Dixon.The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Larry Cox officiating. A Committal Service will be held at 12:30 pm at Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Clarkesville, GA.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of her daughter, Gail Temples, 102 Cross Creek Drive, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
