Born in Richmond, IN, she was a daughter of the late Marion Minor and the late Christine Pence Minor. In her professional life Betty was an accountant having practiced for many years. Upon her retirement from accounting, she became a Nanny, serving her Lord well in the special care of many children and she loved them all. Her hobbies and interests included quilting, reading and playing card games.Survivors include three daughters; Deborah Littleton (Randy) of Pendleton, SC, Beth Trzcinski (John) of Fishers, IN and Amy Howell (Randy) of Bridgeport, OH; brothers, Kenneth Minor of West Lafayette, IN, and Michael Minor of Indianapolis, IN; a sister Marion Ludas of Crown Point, IN, a brother-in-law, Forrest Downhour of Russiaville, IN a sister-in-law, Francine Minor of Bunker Hill, IN. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, James Marion and Andrew Jackson Minor; sisters, Verda Jane Flint and Nancy Sue Downhour; a son, Terry Wayne Dickerhoff; and a granddaughter, Molly Christine Miller.The family would like to thank those who provided such excellent care for Ms.Flanagan associated with the Stephens County Hospital and Heritage Healthcare, both in Toccoa, GA, and NHC of Anderson, SC.A Service Celebrating the Life of Ms. Flanagan will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 3 PM with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating.
