Addie Elizabeth Sloan Plemmons, age 82, of Belton, SC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 19, 2021. She was born April 30, 1938 in Greenville County, SC and was the daughter of the late Troy Manus Sloan and Kathleen Wadell Sloan. Elizabeth was a wonderful pastor's wife for over 40 years. She had a genuine love for people that knew no bounds. For over 24 years, she enjoyed a career working with special needs students in Anderson School District Two having worked at Belton Elementary and Honea Path Elementary. Family and friends meant the world to Elizabeth and she loved them fully and whole-heartedly. She was a long-time and faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church. She will be remembered by her family as a loving mother and grandmother who loved her grandsons dearly. Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 55 years, Rev. Carroll Plemmons; beloved daughter, Beth Fisher (Andy) of Belton, SC; sister, Adele Whitmore (Troy) of Williamston, SC; grandchildren, Bryar and Pearson Fisher; sister-in-law, Rita Sloan Lancaster (Hugh); and many loved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many special friends, especially her caregiver, Becky Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Sloan. A special thank you is extended to Divine Hospice and Agape Hospice for the care provided to Mrs. Plemmons. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 21, 2021, from 5:00-8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 4:00 pm at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Bearden, Rev. Tim Edmonds, and Rev. Dewayne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
