'REN' THOMPSON January 7, 1923 - July 28, 2006ANDERSON, SCMrs. Elizabeth Hines Reynolds Thompson, age 83, wife of Robert G. Thompson, MD of 107 Victoria Circle, Anderson, SC, died Friday, July 28, 2006 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.Born in Rockingham, NC on January 7, 1923, Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of the late Benjamin Reynolds and Jewell Henry Reynolds. She was a graduate of Duke University, School of Nursing and was a retired Registered Nurse. She was very active in numerous vocations including Head Start. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church where she was a gifted Christian Educator having taught Sunday School for over forty years. She formerly served on the Alter Guild and the St. Catherine's Guild.Survivors include her husband, Robert G. Thompson, MD of the home; children, Charles B. Thompson and his wife, Beverly of Lyons, GA, Robert G. Thompson, II, MD, and his wife, Bridgett of Knoxville, TN and Mary L. Thompson of Atlanta, GA. Three grandchildren, Beth Thompson, Emily Thompson and Elizabeth Thompson also survive.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Benjamin Furman Reynolds. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 6:30 pm at Old Silverbrook Cemetery officiated by Father John B. Hardaway IV. The family will receive friends in the Church Parlor at Grace Episcopal Church immediately follow the graveside service.
