ELIZABETH SULLIVAN October 14, 1928 - May 23, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Elizabeth "Billie" Ilene Hanna Sullivan, age 83, passed away on May 23, 2012 at National Health Care in Anderson. Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Herman Hanna and the late Ruby Lafoy Hanna. She was a graduate of Girls High and worked at Southern Bell. Later, she moved to Charleston, SC and continued to work for Southern Bell until she retired after 35 years of service. She was the first female maintenance supervisor with Southern Bell. While in Charleston, she was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church and upon moving back to Anderson she became a member of Concord Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, John "Tim" Sullivan and his wife Nancy of Anderson and Mark Sullivan of Charleston; a brother, Don Hanna and his wife Ida Mae of Anderson; a sister, Ellen Cheek of Anderson; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Hildred Sullivan; brothers, Carl Hanna and Alex Hanna; sisters, Gladys Dunn, Helen Pickens, Mariam Whitlock, and Evelyn Gosnell. The Funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Sullivan will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Dr. Don Cox officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will be at the home of her son, John Sullivan, 1009 West Shockley Ferry Road, Anderson, SC and will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 25, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
