Teate of 1999 Highway 413, Anderson, SC, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Gainesville, GA on January 17, 1929, Mrs. Teate was a daughter of the late William Garland Souther and Pernia Mae Hatcher Heaton. She was retired from Equinox Mill and a member of Long Branch Baptist Church.In addition to her husband of the home, she is survived by a daughter, Jackie Tilley of Anderson, SC; brothers, Charlie Souther of Anderson, SC and Gerald Souther of Greenville, SC; sisters, Irene Jordan, Lois Lollis and Maggie Powell, all of Anderson, SC, Barbara Lindsey of Belton, SC and Peggy Scott of Elberton, GA. Three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William E. Teate; a sister, Louise Prince and one grandchild. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Royce Addis and Wayne Watson.
