MAE LANCE March 15, 1932 - March 12, 2006IVA, SCMrs. Ella Mae Sanders Lance, age 73, of 804 Baskin Road, Iva, SC, died Sunday, March 12, 2006 at her residence.Born in Hart County, GA on March 15, 1932, Mrs. Lance was a daughter of the late Alonzo Eppie Sanders and Elizabeth Thompson Sanders. She was also the first wife of the late Oscar Ernest Lance and was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.Survivors include sons, Loyd Lance and Andy Lance, both of Iva, SC; daughters, Patricia Howell of Anderson, SC, Joyce Holcombe of Iva, SC, Maria Moore of Seneca, SC, Shirley Patterson and Cheryl Lance-Keller, both of Iva, SC; a brother, Tom Sanders of Townville, SC; twenty grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Oscar Ernest Lance, Jr., and Scotty Ray Lance, Sr.; two brothers, Bill Sanders and Lonnie Sanders; three sisters, Pauline Whitfield, Mary Nichols and Rachel Shaw and two grandsons, Wesley Smith and Scott Lance.The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Middleton Road Baptist Church officiated by the Reverend Brian Darrah. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson.The family received friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
