Ellen Ruby Williams Horne, age 87, of Belton, SC, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born October 4, 1934, in Williamston, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Reed Williams and Ethel Gilstrap Williams. She was married to Robert L. Horne, Jr. until his death in March 2007. Ellen retired from AnMed Health after 40 years of faithful employment. Her family meant everything to her and she loved going to church. She is survived by her son, Robert Dale Horne (Diane) of Anderson; sister, Ruth Willis of Belton; grandchildren, Kristi McDaniel of Belton, Tiffany Cawthon (Daniel) of Belton, and Wesley Horne (Lajeana) of Iron Station, NC; and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandsons, Brent Thomas and James McDaniel. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 10, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021, at 3:00 pm at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
