Ellen Betty Reed Ellen Betty Reed was born December 24, 1932 in Ypsilanti Michigan the daughter of Jens and Theolinda Mathiesen. She spent her adult life in New York State and South Carolina. She was married to the late Everett Reed. She was active in the church including Sunday School, Bible Classes, Vacation Bible School, Awana as well as playing the organ for the church. She graduated from Anderson College. Mrs. Reed died March 7, 2015 in Jackson, Tennessee. Private graveside services for the family will be Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church cemetery. She is survived by a sister Jean (Charles) Kohler of Michigan/Florida. Three sons and one daughter: David Reed (Rita) of Michigan, Erik Reed (Kandy) of South Carolina, John Reed (Carol) of Oregon, Christie Callicoatt (Steven) of Jackson, Tennessee. Grandchildren Kirsten, Lynnette, Joy, Matthew, Nathan and Ian Reed, April Reed and Jennifer Elder and Steven John Callicoatt II, and nine great-grandchilden. The family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
