ELLEN CLARK SLATON Ellen Clark Slaton, age 90, of 330 Oakdale Road, Townville, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Seneca Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Anderson on November 6, 1924, she was the daughter of the late William Paul Clark and the late Maude Byrum Clark. For 68 years, she was the loving and devoted wife of Albert Forris Slaton of the home. Mrs. Slaton was retired from J. P. Stevens, Clemson Plant. In addition to her husband, Albert, she is survived by a son, Steve Slaton of Townville; two daughters, Gail Hunnicutt and Judy Slaton, both of Townville; five sisters, Edna Davis of Buford, GA, Catherine Cox of Westminster, SC, Linda Meredith and husband, Preston, of Anderson, Billie Overly of Franklinville, NC, Jessie Mae Brock of Manhattan, KS; four grandchildren, Cristy Slaton Jablonski and husband, Stan, Michael Hunnicutt, Kimberly Slaton, and Jeffery Slaton; three great-grandchildren, Jordan Clinkscales, and Noah and Lucas Jablonski. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Slaton was preceded in death by brothers, Claude and Calvin Clark. The funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Ellen Clark Slaton will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. David Blizzard officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
