ELMA DURHAM BUCHANAN August 26, 1913 - June 4, 2008WATERLOO, SCMrs. Elma Durham Buchanan, age 94, of 15399 Neely Ferry Road, Waterloo, SC, died Wednesday, June 04, 2008 at her residence.Born in Anderson County, SC on August 26, 1913, Mrs. Buchanan was the wife of the late Grady Buchanan and the daughter of the late Murph Durham and Sephronie Seigler Durham. She was formerly employed in textiles and was a member of Refuge Baptist Church.Survivors include her daughter, Doris Smith and her husband Dock of Waterloo, SC; daughter-in-law, Kaye Buchanan; brothers, Lafayette Durham, Frank Durham, Hugh Durham and Lawrence 'Pee Wee' Durham; seventeen grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Montjoy; a son, Bruce E. Buchanan and a number of brothers and sisters. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Dan Compton, Jerry Durham and Gordon Moore. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 6, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at their respective homes.Flowers are optional.
