ELMER ELROD June 16, 1925 - March 3, 2006ANDERSON, SCMr. Elmer Mitchell Elrod Sr., age 80, husband of Nellie Palmer Elrod of 615 Carey Street, Anderson, SC, died Friday, March 3, 2006 at Laurel Baye Healthcare of Greenville.Born in Clarkesville, GA on June 16, 1925, Mr. Elrod was a son of the late Lawrence M. Elrod and Anna Black Elrod. He was the retired owner of Elmer M. Elrod Builder Construction Company and was a member of Little Mountain Church of God.He is survived by his wife, Nellie Palmer Elrod of the home; sons, Elmer M. Elrod, Jr., of Iva, SC and Thomas H. Elrod of Tyrone, GA; brothers, Howard Elrod and Charles Elrod, both of Anderson, SC; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2006 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home by the Reverend Larry Graveley. Interment will follow in Bethel Temple Holiness Church Cemetery in Demorest, GA at 2:30 pm.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 5, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Little Mountain Church of God, c/o Rev.
