Ehly, age 73 of Anderson, died at his home on Monday, May 15, 2006 of leukemia. He was the husband of Bonnie Mulkey Ehly.Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 29, 1932 to the late Marie Thompson Ehly, he moved to Anderson in 1995 after retiring from Tastykake where he worked for 40 years. He was a United States Korean War veteran and a member of the V. F. W. He was also a member of the Temple Baptist Church of Anderson.In addition to his widow, he is survived by his son, Frank Williams and his wife, Donna of Anderson; his daughters, Beverly Burkett of Anderson and Marie Sullivan and her husband, Calvin of Fayetteville, NC; five sisters, Mary Aguado, Shirley Curcio, Joan Curcio, Jean Wise and Anita Dumas; two brothers, Chuck Ehly and Walt Miller; eight grandchildren, Joey Chastain, Jennifer Young, Amy Howard, Christina Taylor, Susan McCollum, Danielle Williams and Camren Haycraft; seven great-grandchildren, Jessica, Shannon, Robert, Brihanna, Lexi, Joseph and Chris. Many nieces and nephew also survive.He was preceded in death by his son, John Williams and his brother, Dutch Ehly.A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Temple Baptist Church of Anderson officiated by the Rev. Dr. Larry Pearson, Rev. Gordon Taylor and Rev. Claude Dykes. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service.
