ALLISON May 24, 1937 - May 12, 2010ANDERSON, SCMrs. Emily 'Mimi' Wilson Allison, 72, of Maria Drive, Anderson, SC, passed May 12, 2010 at her residence.Born on May 24, 1937 in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late James Wilson and Evelyn Thrift Wilson. She was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church and the Golden Rule Sunday School Class. She also enjoyed the wonderful fellowship of the church's Senior Adults Laboring Together (S.A.L.T.) ministry. Retired from the South Carolina Employment Security Commission, Mrs. Allison was a member of the Angelic Chapter of the Red Hat Society, an avid flower gardener, and loved to host parties. She was certified as an Ambulance Emergency Medical Technician by the state of Georgia in 1976.Surviving are her sons; Ron Allison of Madison, IN and Steve Allison of Anderson, SC; her daughter, Kim Dyer and husband, Larry of Memphis, TN; grandsons, Ryan Allison of Madison, IN, Corey Allison of Anderson, and Jonathan Dyer of Memphis, TN; sisters, Edna McDade and Marion Brown of Greenwood, SC and JoLee Mahaffey of Greenville, SC. She was predeceased by her husband, John Wilkes Allison; brothers, Furman and Jack Wilson and sisters, Doris Smith and Rebecca Crouch.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home by the Reverend Jeff Bartlett. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Deacons of Oakwood Baptist Church.
