Emily Irene McCallum Arnold, 88, of Anderson, SC passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 at her home. Born May 4, 1930 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Bruce McCallum and the late Ruby Sullivan McCallum. She was a graduate of Girls High School and went on to graduate from Winthrop College in 1951. She retired after 18 years of service as an elementary school teacher. Emily was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school and was active in Women in the Church. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Thaddeus Arnold; son, Philip Arnold (Kathy); daughter, Susan Dyar (Wesley); four grandchildren, Jacob and Cal Arnold, Bruce Spigener (Amanda) and Shuler Spigener (Kate); and four great-grandchildren, Evan, Easton, Sullivan and Camille. The family will receive friends from 10-11am, Friday, July 6, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church, Chennault parlor. The funeral service will follow in the church sanctuary at 11am Friday with Rev.
