Hicks Funeral Home of Elberton announces the death of Emily B. Gordon, of Elberton, formerly of Anderson, South Carolina, age 87, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023. Emily had a loving and infectious personality and will be remembered for her flirtatious nature which led her to becoming a well loved employee of the "original" Anderson Waffle House. She is survived by her remaining daughter, Debbie Manley; grandchildren, Jason Whitacre, Travis Whitacre, Amy Woodson, Chris Brown, Michael Brown, Lori Beth Davis Jeffers, and Lucy Davis Simpson; great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her children, Diane Davis, Steve Roberts, Jackie Roberts, and Dolly Ann Roberts; and granddaughter, Tammy Renee Roberts. Services will be private.
