Emma "Pauline" Gilreath Evans Iva, SC Emma "Pauline" Gilreath Evans, age 78, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at her residence. Born in Abbeville County, SC, on November 1, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Paul Gilreath and the late Leona Alexander Gilreath. She was the co-owner and operator of Evans Insurance for many years. Pauline was a member of Generostee Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her son, Carroll Ray Davenport and his wife Jean, of Iva; a daughter, Belinda Tollison, of Anderson, SC; two step-sons, Jimmy Evans, of Anderson, SC, and Steve Evans, of Iva, SC and; a brother, Ralph Gilreath, of Las Vegas, NV; three sisters, Sylvia Crocker, Evelyn Welch, and Charlotte Gibson, all of Anderson, SC; and 5 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Charlie Evans; a son, Billy Davenport, a grandson, Alex Burdette and a brother, Bobby Gilreath. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Generostee Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church with Reverend Charles Howell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the residence, 214 Project Road, Iva, SC 29655, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
