EMMA LOU STAGGS SELMAN January 23, 1920 - October 14, 2013 WILLIAMSTON, SC Emma Lou Staggs Selman, age 93, of Williamston, SC, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Belton, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Jones Staggs and the late Levinna Lollis Staggs. She worked in textiles for many years at the Cushman Mill in Williamston, SC. She is survived by her children, Buddy Ray Selman, of Williamston, SC, Shirley Selman Phillips and her husband Larry, of Belton, SC, Charles Selman, of Williamston, SC, Robbie Selman Cordell, of Williamston, SC, and Dallas Selman, of Williamston, SC; six grandchildren, Richard Phillips, Joey Phillips, James Phillips, Angela Ambrose, Travis Selman, and Corey Selman; 7 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a niece, Martha Staggs Gentry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Oliver Selman; a brother, J.L. Staggs; and two sisters, Mary Ann Staggs and Eugenia Staggs Selman. The Funeral will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Chad Howard officiating. Interment will follow at Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery in Williamston, SC. The family will be at the home of Richard Phillips, 114 Welcome Road, Williamston, SC and will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
