PATIENCESEPTEMBER 9, 1923 - SeptEMBER 29, 2008BELTON, SCEmmie Bonner Patience, age 85, of 332 Haynie Mill Road passed away on Monday, September 29, 2008, at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Lexington, Georgia on September 9, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William Bonner and Birdie Thaxton Bonner. Mrs. Patience retired from BellSouth after many years of service. She was most active within the community and volunteer services ' namely the Telephone Pioneers, the Anderson Amateur Radio Club, and the Single Sideband Net. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church where she was also active with the Young at Heart.Survivors include her daughter, Claudia P. Barbour and husband Douglas W. Barbour of Belton; her son, Sidney L. Patience and wife Elleen S. Patience of Anderson; brothers, Wynn Bonner of Athens, GA and Harold Bonner of Sacramento, CA; three grandchildren, Robert L. Hall, Heather A. Harmon, and Melinda O. Patience; two great grandchildren, Lewis & Tyler Hall; and an assortment of beloved pets.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leland E. Patience; a son, Travis B. Patience; a sister, Gertrude B.
