Anderson, SC Eric Spence Anderson, age 49, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at his residence from his battle with cancer. Born in Anderson, SC, on June 16, 1966, he was the son of Shelby Whittington Anderson and the late James Spence Anderson. Eric graduated Pendleton High School, class of 1985. He was a lover of NASCAR and an avid classic car enthusiast. He also was a South Carolina Gamecock fan. He is survived by a son, Kyle Anderson; granddaughter, Kinsley Anderson; a sister, Robin Leopard and her husband John; nephews, Nathan and Brent Leopard; and his ex-wife Tammy Dyar. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Mollie Whittington, and John and Viola Anderson. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Otis "Rick" Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 24, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers are accepted.
