ERNEST 'PAP' DURHAM January 14, 1912 - September 27, 2005PENDLETON, SCMr. Ernest Ola Durham, age 93 of 309 Church Street, Pendleton, SC, husband of the late Bessie Mae Burdette Durham, died Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at the Hospice House in Anderson, SC.Born in Anderson County, SC, he was a son of the late Pascall Durham and Lizzie Swaney Durham. He was retired from textiles and was a member of Faith Fellowship, formerly Second Baptist Church of Pendleton.Survivors include sons, Ernest H. Durham and his wife, Joyce and Norman Lee Durham and his wife, Elaine, all of Pendleton, SC; daughters, Ola Mae Carver and her husband, Roy E. of Newry, SC and Geraldine Kelly of Belton, SC; a sister, Nannie Gunter of Pendleton, SC; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Eddie, Ellis and Cliff Durham and a sister, Lois Cargil.Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2005 at 3:00 pm at Faith Fellowship in Pendleton by the Reverend Jimmy Cox. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Clemson.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, September 29, 2005 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mr. Durham will be placed in the church at 2:00 pm on Friday.The family will be at the home of his son, Ernest Durham, 1000 Williams Street, Pendleton, SC.Flowers are optional.
