HEINLY December 2, 1907 - November 17, 2005ANDERSON, SCMr. Ernest James Heinly, age 97 of Anderson, SC, died Thursday, November 17, 2005 at National Health Care Nursing Home in Anderson, SC.Born in Hamburg, PA, he was the son of the late Francis O. Heinly and Ida Brensinger Heinly. He was a 1931 graduate of Philadelphia Textile Institute, which is now Philadelphia University. During World War II, he was chief civilian inspector in textiles for the Quartermaster Corps. After the war, he joined J.P. Stevens Company in New York City retiring in 1972 and moving from Glen Rock, NJ to Lake Hartwell. He married Ruth Runion on June 8, 1940 in Travelers Rest, SC. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Anderson, SC.He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Betty Lawrence of West Baldwin, ME; a son, E. James Heinly, Jr., of Wanaque, NJ; a granddaughter, Malinda R. Lawrence-Doyle of Washington, DC; a sister, Sarah Heinly of Hamburg, PA; a number of nieces and nephews.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2005 at 10:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel officiated by Dr. Paul R. Cooper.
