Esta Mae Philyaw Roberts, age 94, formerly of 1609 Breazeale Road, Belton, died Friday, May 29, 2009 at NHC Health Care in Anderson.Born in Rabun County, GA, she was the wife of the late James Otis Roberts and the daughter of the late Leaman Sylvester Philyaw and Sally Burrell Philyaw. She was formerly the assistant manager of the Fleishman's Department Store in Anderson. Mrs. Roberts was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star and Hopewell Baptist Church.Survivors include her son, James P. Roberts and his wife, Joan; grandson, James 'Rick' Roberts; brother, Varon Philyaw, all of Anderson and sister, Elsie Gosnell of Clarksville, GA.In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Ken Keaton.
