Woods, age 91, formerly of 1011 Slab Bridge Road, Liberty, SC, died Monday, June 16, 2008 at Ellenburg Nursing Center.Born in Anderson, SC on April 5, 1917, Mrs. Woods was the wife of the late Hurbert Woods and the daughter of the late William Blancette and Susie Ann Burdette Blancette. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Piedmont, SC.Survivors include two daughters, Geneatte W. Wilson and Susie W. Nabors; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sons, William, Ramoth and Ricky Lane Woods; daughters, Lue Rebecca, Viola, Ethel Margret, Montez and Nancy Woods; brother, William Blancette; sisters, Nannie Brown and Lena Walker and 2 grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Reverend Leon Porter.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Geneatte Wilson, 1009 Slab Bridge Road, Liberty, SC.The McDougald Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
