Eula Bell Simmons Hayes Anderson, SC Eula Bell Simmons Hayes, age 89, of Anderson, went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 4, 2014. Born in Abbeville County, on October 3, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Willie Simmons and the late Lessie Dunn Simmons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Richard C. "R.C." Hayes; a son, Wayne Hayes; and three sisters, Willie Mae Graham, Lucille Fields and Jessie Simmons. She is survived by her children, Richard Hayes and his wife Loretta, Edgar Hayes, Tony Hayes, Roy Hayes, and his wife Cathy, Virginia Hayes and Juanita Saxon, all of Anderson; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Daniel officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The family asks that memorials be made to The Alzheimer Association, 4124 Clemson Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29625, or to West Anderson Church of God, 101 Rogers Street, Anderson, SC 29625. Mrs. Hayes was of the Church of God faith and last attended West Anderson Church of God. She had a green thumb and loved gardening and working outside.
