Eula Mae Myers Nelson, 85, of Pickens, SC, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Manna Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Born July 26, 1935, in Commerce, GA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Myers and Lilly Carter Myers. Eula was a Godly, Christian lady with a deeply rooted faith in the Lord and was a peacemaker at heart. She loved to cook, being well known for making fudge candy and she was a member of Freedom Center South Campus. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Charles D. Nelson of Anderson and Joyce Ann McAlister (Ben Barbare) of Pelzer; sister, Geneva Cleveland of Anderson; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James A. Nelson; sisters, Levenia Myers, Ruth Montgomery, Mary Ann Bell, and Jeanette Crawford Cleveland; and great-grandson, Jacob Lee Vaughn. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 11:00 am at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Phil Sears officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freedom Center Central Campus, 1057 W. Main St., Central, SC 29630. The family will be at their respective homes.
