Eula Lucille Moon Wiles, age 83, of Anderson, SC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Rainey Hospice House surrounded by family.

Born November 17, 1942, in Comer, GA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Edison Moon and Alice Page Griffith. She married the love of her life Jerry H. Wiles, Sr. when she was 15 years old and together they lived a wonderful life until his death in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Dana Sheree Wiles; half-brothers, Joel Griffith and Justin Griffith; and son-in-law, Keith Hand.

Affectionately known as "Granny Wiles" to many, Lucille was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the backbone of her family, and you could always find her supporting anything her children or grandchildren were involved in such as ballgames, dance recitals, and beauty pageants. She was a great cook and was famous for her homemade biscuits, cakes and fried pies, never using a recipe. She had a strong work ethic and together with her husband, they built several successful businesses in the Anderson area, and she faithfully served as the secretary for many years. Her husband was a pilot and with his encouragement, she took lessons herself to learn to fly solo. Lucille enjoyed having company in her home and her visitors never left empty-handed, she always gave them a gift of some kind. She was selfless, kind, compassionate, and always willing to lend a helping hand. She has left a legacy that will carry on throughout her family.

She is survived by her children, Victor Lamar Wiles (Dee Ann), Willard Winston "Willie" Wiles (Brenda), Suzette Marie Hand, Jerry Henry Wiles, Jr. (Susan), and Gregory Thomas Wiles, Sr. (Deena); sisters, MaryAnn McDaniel, Pat Howard, and Janice Harrison; 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 1:00-2:30 pm at Gethsemane Baptist Temple. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
