EUNICE MCALISTER AIKEN GREER, SC Eunice McAlister Aiken, age 91, of Greenville, passed away on December 8, 2013 at National Health Care of Greer. Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Paul Tillman McAlister and the late Eva Black McAlister. She is a 1940 graduate of Girls High. Eunice retired from BASF in 1991 and was a resident of Anderson County for 87 years. She is a member of Centerville Baptist Church and attended Buncombe Street United Methodist Church in Greenville. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Aiken Griffin and her husband Bob of Greenville; a sister, Betty McLeese, of Anderson; one granddaughter, Carole Leigh Patterson; and two great-grandchildren, Sarah Leann Griffin and John Robert Griffin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Aiken; a grandson, John Walter Griffin; seven brothers and two sisters. The Graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at 2:30 PM with Reverend Grover Putnam officiating. The family will receive friends at the McDougald Funeral Home, on Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00. Those serving as Pallbearers will be Mrs. Aiken's nephews.
