IVA , SC'Mrs. Eunice Azalee Purdy Loftis, age 96, widow of Caruth Loftis of 6518 Highway 413, Iva, SC died on Friday, October 14, 2005 at Hospice of the Upstate.Born on September 11, 1909 in Abbeville County, Mrs. Loftis was the daughter of the late Robert Henry Purdy and the late Cora Gable Purdy. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Loftis was a member of Rocky River Baptist Church where she was the oldest member. She was also the last surviving member of her immediate family.Mrs. Whitfield is survived by two sons, Clifton and Bobby Loftis both of Iva, SC; a daughter, Ellen Holbrook of Iva, SC; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.The family is at their respective homes.
