EUNICE McADAMS Eunice Thomason McAdams, age 95, of 124 McClain Lake Drive, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at her residence with her family by her side. Born in Anderson County on May 12, 1919, she was the daughter of the late James Wesley Thomason and the late Maude Sullivan Thomason. For 45 years she was the devoted wife of the late Sam McAdams, who died in 1983. Mrs. McAdams lived for many years in New Brunswick, NJ, where she worked as a nutritionist at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. Upon her return to Anderson, she was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Mrs. McAdams was an avid flower gardener and she loved the children in her life. Survivors include a son, James Wesley McAdams (Beverly) of Somerset, NJ; 3 daughters, Agnes Irene McAdams, Alma Marie Rodriguez (Ruben), and Rosie Lee Francis (Raymond), all of Anderson; a brother, Horace Peter Thomason (Dorothy) of Plainfield, NJ; also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents and her husband, Sam, Mrs. McAdams was preceded in death by a son, Sam McAdams, Jr, and a daughter, Carol Juanita McAdams who died in infancy. The funeral service celebrating the life of Eunice McAdams will be held on Saturday, November, 15, 2014, at 12 p.m., at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Anderson,with Pastor Timothy Sutton officiating. Interment will be held in New Jersey. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at Mount Olive Baptist Church from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted at Sharon Baptist Church in New Brunswick, NJ, at a time and date to be announced. Interment will follow at Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick, NJ. Services in New Jersey entrusted to Plinton Curry Funeral Home in Somerset, NJ.
