AXSOMMAY 30, 1914 - July 4, 2007 ANDERSON, SC Mrs. Eva Jones Axsom, age 93, formerly of Belleview Road passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at the Embracing Hospice of Snellville, Georgia. Born in High Point, North Carolina on May 30, 1914, Mrs. Axsom was a daughter of the late Jacob 'Jake' Jones and Frances Cozart Jones. She was a longtime and very active member of Boulevard Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class as long as her health permitted. She loved the Lord and her family and friends. She leaves a legacy of selfless compassion and enthusiasm for life and ministering to others. For this, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her smile and hugs were so precious. Her life was a great example for others to live. Mrs. Axsom is survived by her daughters: Louise A. Donaldson and her husband, Tom of Marietta, Georgia and Glenda Subh and her husband, Naif of Lawrenceville, Georgia; a sister, Mrs. Donnie Sylvestri of Norfolk, Virginia. Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren are also surviving Mrs. Axsom. In addition to her parents, sisters, and brother, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, James Herbert Axsom.The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 7, 2007 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Johnny F. McKinney officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Saturday, July 7, 2007.
