Eva Drake Bleckley, 99, of 208 Summit Street, Greenwood, SC and widow of Marine PFC William Ernest Bleckley KIA Okinawa, Japan WWII, died November 26, 2015 at her home. Born November 19, 1916 in Anderson, SC she was the daughter of Ralph and Mary McKinney Drake and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was formerly employed by the Matthews Plant of Greenwood Mills, McDonalds of Greenwood, and retired from Orr Lyons Mills of Anderson. She was a member of The Good Neighbors Club and Hodges Church of God. Surviving are three daughters, Gerri Fousek and husband Jack of Anderson, SC Lenora Spearman of the home, and Louise Anderson and husband Doyle of Ninety Six, SC; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by Clyde Owens of Greenwood, SC, a special family friend. She was predeceased by a son William Eugene Bleckley and his wife Helen; one great grandson; two brothers, Frank and Charlie Drake; and one sister, Nita Dean. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. with her grandson, Rev. Stephen Anderson, and Rev. Charles Caldwell officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be William Anderson, Stephen Anderson, Russell Strickland, Gerald Price, Rick Sexton, Steve Meadows, Ronnie Tolley, Paul Herring, and Miles Vazquez. Honorary escorts will be Hospice Care of South Carolina and members of the Senior Class of Hodges Church of God.
